PCIA / Alliance First ISO International Workshop on Clean and Efficient Cookstoves

As part of our commitment to developing globally recognized standards for clean and efficient cookstoves, PCIA and the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves are jointly organizing the first ISO International Workshop on the topic February 28-29, 2012 in The Hague, Netherlands. Participation is encouraged from all stakeholder categories, including stove manufacturers, implementers, researchers, academics, stove testers, and other cookstove community members. To ensure that the workshop includes a wide range of cookstove stakeholders from around the globe, a limited number of travel scholarships will be available. The voluntary, interim cookstove document that we plan to finalize through the IWA is based on the Lima Consensus “Tiers of Performance.” You can read more on the Lima Consensus in PCIA Bulletin #27 and at http://pciaonline.org/testing/lima-consensus.

A presentation on the Tiers of Performance was also available through a series of webinars held on Thursday Jan 26th, Friday Feb 3rd and Thursday Feb 9th. Please see the Events page for more information.
