WASHplus: What we did, why it matters

On June 15, 2016 Winrock International and the U.S. EPA hosted a webinar titled "WASHplus: What we did, why it matters". WASHplus clean cooking expert Elisa Derby from Winrock International and behavior change specialist Julia Rosenbaum from FHI 360 presented on the last 5+ years of WASHplus support to the clean cooking sector, what WASHplus did and learned, and why it matters. Highlights from the webinar include results and findings from consumer preference studies in Bangladesh and Nepal and information about the new WASHplus consumer research toolkit.

WASHplus is a multi-year project funded through USAID’s Bureau for Global Health that supports healthy households and communities by developing and implementing interventions that lead to improvements in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and household air pollution (HAP) activities. FHI 360 led WASHplus implementation and Winrock International was the lead partner on clean cooking activities.
