Our Focus
Our organization works with indigenous communities of Mexico, mainly in the states of Oaxaca and Chiapas.
Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas
Even when in the communities we work there are several barriers for old people to use thirsty wood stoves, the young ones are developing great interest in this technology and are helping us to promote the use of this technology.
We have design our own wood stove with the participation of the indigenous community of the state of Oaxaca. The thirsty wood stove is named, Ñuu Savi (place of the rain) making reference of the region where it was developed.
We are really interested in learning about the new technologies that will allow us improve our work and the health of the users.
The resources we found in our country are only for constructing wood stoves but not for monitoring them, so we are looking to new organizations and foundations who can help us on find the necessary support to develop a well organized monitoring system.
