Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas

Social/Cultural barriers to using traditional fuels and stoves:

There is a barrier in the cold region as the stoves do not heat the space.


Market development for improved cooking technologies:

The market is still not well developed in Tanzania. To date only 1% of the households use improved cook stoves.


Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

There is no standards in Tanzania on the stoves.


Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:

Our interest is to carry out end user education and monitor the quality of the stoves available in the Tanzania market.
