SMEFUNDS through the Go Solar Africa project promotes and designs environmental solutions in Africa by engaging enterprise solutions to attempt new approaches in fighting poverty. SMEFUNDS is taking on climate change, alternative renewable energy and solar micro enterprises while making small loan investments to start-ups and early stage businesses as they grow and become economically viable, self sustaining and profitable.

Access to technology, information and the right pricing forms the bedrock of acceptance
Developing a vast market, yet with the right model to get the product to the right people that need it remains the greatest challenge. We have deployed more than 50,000 solar lanterns in Nigeria and efforts are in place to distribute cookstoves with the same model. Finance and partnership are still required.
SMEFUNDS is very interested in this, and sees standardization of the technology as the key to getting it right.
Having worked with a wide range of the affected groups of people, we already have in place our methodology and strategy to monitor, correct and report pollution at various levels.
