Our Focus
We have conducted training programmes for farmers on behalf of NABARD (National Agricultural Bank for Rural Development India). Our target audience is farmers, landless agricultural labourers living in villages/rural areas. The scope of our intervention is to demonstrate and run a campaign to create awareness about existing and proven appropriate and low cost technologies in the area of agriculture, clean cook stoves, renewable energy. We do product demonstrations, sales, training of local artisans, and capacity building at the village level to undertake regular and sustained production.
Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas
We are working at the grass root level. We go into villages and interact with communities who need the clean cooking technologies most. We interact with all communities irrespective of religion, creed, or color. We take great pains to bring these technologies to the reach of people who require the clean cooking stoves the most.
We are ready to run promotional, awareness campaigns for manufacturers/institutions for clean cooking technologies at the grass roots level on a sustained basis. We welcome manufacturers/institutions to contact us and work out details for introducing clean cooking technologies to the people who need them the most.
We are interested in providing the end user of improved cook stoves a choice of technologies from which they can choose the one that fits their local fuel availability, and matches their cooking patterns. We are not having any new technology but will offer a last mile connectivity platform for existing stove manufacturers/research institutions.
The area of operation of our NGO has zero penetration of improved/smokeless cook stoves. Most of the cooking is being done using traditional methods like three stones. Most of the interiors of the houses are coated with soot and tar, and the negative impact of such cooking methods on the health of the women is very evident.

Our Contribution to the Partnership
We will supplement the efforts of existing institutions/manufacturers by undertaking promotional/awareness campaigns on clean cooking technologies. We will scout for and arrange local artisans/entrepreneurs who can take up production at the local level if required.
