Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership

Mission

REEEP is a global partnership for accelerating and expanding the global market for renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. It was announced at WSSD as a ‘Type II’ Partnership initiative and launched in October 2003. REEEP partners include governments, businesses, NGOs, financiers and other representatives of civil society.

Our Focus

Primary Initiatives, Target Populations, and Scope of Work:

In addition to implementation of REEEP programmes, calls of project, the secretariat is actively involved in the promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency systems (REES). As a knowledge creation and sharing activity, the REEEP South Asia Secretariat has prepared country-wise policy templates for policies on renewable energy and energy efficiency. In order to merge the regional interests with the overall REEEP objectives the South Asia Secretariat also prepares the action plan for REEEP activities in the region
