Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas

Social/Cultural barriers to using traditional fuels and stoves:

Ecocina stoves have proven to be extremely well accepted by those in El Salvador

Market development for improved cooking technologies:

Current demand far exceeds our capacity to produce stoves, hence we will be establishing more factories as soon as money can be raised to do so. The project is sustainable as the cost of production includes salaries and incentives for the factory owners.

Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

We are currently producing 1,000 ecocina stoves per month in El Salvador.

Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:

Our stoves are and will continue to be tested by Aprovecho Research Center in Oregon with testing done to EPA standards
