Group of Studies and Research on Renewable Energies and the Environment (GERERE)

Mission

Since 2005, the GERERE (Group of Studies and Research on Renewable Energies and the Environment - Rabat, Morocco) set up with the GERES (Renewable Energies Group, Environnement and Solidarity - Aubagne, France) a mission entitled MNED (Northern Morocco Energy Durable), based in Chefchaouen and intervening on the level of the Tanger-Ttouan area. The MNED has as an initial objective the support with the local matter initiatives of energy saving, and intervenes on the reduction of the firewood consumption in rural medium and the control of energy and water in urban environment. Parallel to this accompaniment of local associations, different projects also have vocation to be carried by the structure: validation and introduction thrifty equipments using wood, diffusion of furnaces with gas improved, or energy improvements of the hammams.

With Plante Bois (south of France), we are developing post-combustion community bread ovens and mutli-purpose cookstoves for space heating, cooking, baking and producing hot water in traditional materials.
