Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas

Social/Cultural barriers to using traditional fuels and stoves:

Through promoting grassroots community sensitization and encouraging behavioral and attitudinal changes.


Market development for improved cooking technologies:

Promoting grass-roots income generation through the mass marketing of efficient stoves developed and produced by communities trained on appropriate stove making technologies.


Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

Appropriate technology application in the production of energy saving cooking stoves at the community level.


Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:

Awareness raising and sensitization of the communities - advocacy and lobbying strategies are used to target specific government authorities/ ministries to provide services according to the needs of the poor communities.

Our Contribution to the Partnership

Would like to participate through a partnership arrangement and thereafter act as a contact organisation in Uganda in the implementation of the partnership activities at the grassroots/community level, particularly among the rural poor and disadvantaged people. EPRUDO will offer experience and skills in a wide range of activties, particularly those highlighted above with respect to the objectives of the Partnership program.
