Mission

The non-profit foundation myclimate - The Climate Protection Partnership is an international climate protection organisation based in Switzerland. myclimate promotes the gathering of knowledge about CO2 reduction, raises awareness and inspires long-term climate protection. The foundation also draws upon various management tools, such as CO2 balance sheets, CO2 reporting or a performance-management tool, to provide an optimal basis for decision-making in businesses. In addition, myclimate promotes carbon neutrality via the principle of voluntary CO2 offsetting.

Our Focus

Primary Initiatives, Target Populations, and Scope of Work:

myclimate is engaged in the development of several projects and programs which promote the diffusion of efficient cook stoves and/or solar stoves. Among others, we're currently active in Madagascar and Peru.
myclimate supports the project owner in the whole carbon credit process and purchases all through the project generated credits (CERs/VERs).

Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas

Social/Cultural barriers to using traditional fuels and stoves:

myclimate is interested in supporting projects that highly contribute to sustainable development in least and low developed countries.

Market development for improved cooking technologies:

see our web page for more details: www.myclimate.org

Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

In general there are no limits on the technology of the stove. However, our main target is to reduce CO2 emissions in contribution with improved health and social aspects.

Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:

We have a lot of knowledge in the monitoring of CO2 emissions according the different methodologies available.

Our Contribution to the Partnership

We'd appreciate to write an article about one of our projects in the PCIA bulletin.
We hope to get in contact with developers of cook stoves and household projects in developing countries to support them through carbon finance.
